Since the lovely MaG has yet to post a walkthrough for the newest Nancy Drew game, does anyone here know a solution to the wretched color puzzle on the computer in the security room? I keep coming so close, only to have Gray march in and yell at me.

I might not finish the game. I have appts tomorrow and then will be gone out of town.
I started the game only yesterday.




- Right click to turn #7.
- Be sure to note the outlines where to place the colors.
- Go outside and do the alarm again to get Gray out of the way.

I'm trying to at least get a headway on the amateur mode and post a part of wt or a rough one before I leave.

i think it is on the computer,but i don`t know how to get in yet. i just started the game.

I filled in the colors on the puzzle just as you said, and it looked just like the picture, but the key card still doesn't work. What now?

Be sure that squares are placed at the right place and layer. That is usually the problem.
For example #10 extends to the yellow and #8 extends under #9 to make square that is dark.

Check the outlines under the layers.

I've found Gray's secret hiding place and have been trying to type in the video number and letters as written - with no success. The walkthrough has one number different from what I actually found in the game and I've tried them both to no avail. Now what?

Oh yes, I have 6 cat parts and I still can't put the cat together. How many parts are there?

Edit: I just found that the part I need is on the table in the workshop. When Nancy was alone in the shop the first time was when to get the head. Too late for that and I can't get the girl out of the shop a second time. Now what?

If you have all the parts already, then you can put them together even if Ryan is there.
Also this part is optional, you don't need to do it to finish the game. You will just get an award.

You need 4 legs, one body, one tail and one head.

OK. I won't worry about the cat. But what about the video? I can't bring it up.

Edit: actually, I can't use the worktable to put the cat together. Nancy keeps saying she's still missing parts and needs to find them. I can't touch the head that's in the room.

Can someone please help me with the video? I got into Gray's secret compartment and the paper said 1bty6510259. I tried entering that to get the video file. No success. Then I tried the number that was in the walkthrough - it didn't have the "6". It didn't work either. Then I tried changing the first #1 to a letter I. Still didn't work.

Help! Do I need a saved game?
