It looks like Big Fish is having a 50% off sale until Oct. 28. Unfortunately it's only a 50% off sale if you're not a member. If you're a member, it's only a 28.6% off sale.

(6.99 - 4.99)/6.99 = 0.286... = 28.6%

(13.99 - 9.99)/13.99 = 0.2859... = 28.6%

You are certainly correct, Jenny. It's not as big a savings for Game Club members and I would like to see Big Fish rethink this in future, as I do feel that Game Club members should be getting 50% off as well. Still, it's nice to be able to save a few dollars nevertheless.

Yes, 28.6% off is better than nothing, and at least they give you a choice of what to buy.

But I don't think they should advertise it as 50% off because for most of their customers it isn't.

Big Fish is getting lots of feedback/commentary about this on the Big Fish forums as well.

Good - It may make them think again when they hold their next sale. They should be looking after their Club Members who have been loyal to them for years and years.

This has always been a bone of contention for me, not just for BFG, but for other businesses as well who offer freebies or reduced rates to new customers while their existing loyal customers are not eligible. In BFG's defense, they did have that wonderful Game Club Credit half-price sale in May (which I took full advantage of), so they do reward their members.

You are right, Susan. And, due to the fact that Big Fish has set such high standards for itself in terms of customer service and appreciation and great sales, I think we tend to have higher expectations for them than we do for many other companies; thus, when we see a sale such as this one, we tend to be more vocal in terms of our feelings about it. It's actually kind of a compliment to Big Fish.

I think the part that everyone is missing is the fact the developers who rely on the sales get a percentage of what is paid. There comes a point that the deals hurt the developer. The prices are incredibly reasonable. You can't go to a movie for the cost of the games.

Remember when the games cost 19.99 and there wasn't a new one everyday and no one complained?

The games were cheaper to produce back then too. I think we are darn lucky. Just my opinion...

And the sale price is still less than the club price of $13.99. Although I was hoping for a buy one get one freee kind of sale. Like I said , I still bought 6! That should help the developers

Well, I'm most happy to have purchased five CE's at 9.99 each. Quite a bargain. Had to stop myself at five...gotta save up for the next sale you know!

I have been trying to buy 2 games since 3:00 pm Eastern time today at the slae price. BFG is not able to process sale at this time, please try later. I have less then an hour to go and they still can not process the sale.
Does anyone have any hints?

Try logging out and getting back in. Sometimes that works. Or try a different browser.

Big Fish is on Pacific Standard Time so you still have 3 hours 45 minutes left to take advantage of the sale. Sometimes a credit card company can be responsible for this message too, so if you are trying to use a credit card you might want to give the credit card company a call.

Have you tried using an alternate method of payment? That might work too.
