Are you playing in Adventure mode?
If not you will need to start over and choose adventure mode or the icon to get out of the deduction board will not appear. The deduction board can be can closed and saved for the end of the game as it appears in the walkthrough.

You do the deduction board at the end of the game, don't worry about it. It's impossible to know what you may have missed otherwise, the easiest thing is to check the walkthrough to see what you may have missed. It is a wonderful game but it is challenging which is what I loved about it. There is an alternate walkthrough here if you need a change.

As I stated before, you need to start a new profile and play in Adventure mode so you can do the deduction board at the end. You cannot get out of it if you chose another mode of play. It's a known issue in the game.

It is a wonderful game but it is challenging which is what I loved about it. Challenging as in entertaining, or challenging as in frustrating, Ana?

This is a fantastic game Boobie. I thought it was a great puzzle adventure. It's a Frogwares game and they are always a great play!
