It always comes down to reaching the target audience and sponsers. Even if the audience count is high but they aren't the type of people they are looking for they will switch to something else. Also these shows are in syndication so they may be getting played somewhere else also.
The list of comedies I like are mostly cut for next season as well and it makes me sad.
