To help celebrate Game Boomers Birthday Bash and courtesy of J. Allen Williams (creator of DarkStar) and the Parallax Studios we are giving away 3 sealed copy's of the game, DarkStar and a sealed copy of DarkStar: The Motion Picture. Plus all winners will receive from J. Allen Williams, a link to download a set of 8 HD computer desktop images and both versions of the DarkStar Strategy Guide (one is full color and illustrated, the other is b/w printer-friendly). The first prize winner drawn will win the game and movie combo and the 2nd and 3rd winners will receive the game.  DarkStar: The Game. You awaken inside a cryogenic sleep chamber aboard a drifting starship. You experience most of the drama "first person", through the eyes of Captain John O’Neil. You are physically unharmed, but you suffer from a complete and permanent loss of memory.
You explore the starship to find clues as to who you are and what your mission is. A beautiful woman is still in hibernation. One sleep chamber is empty. A corpse lies with its left hand severed and missing in the final chamber, glass shattered. The ship's computer, Westwick Main assists you, but much of her memory has been deleted by someone unknown.
Your wits are your greatest weapon in this story of suspense and interplanetary intrigue. DARKSTAR: The Motion Picture takes you on an epic Sci-Fi journey featuring the original cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000, starring Clive Robertson, and narrated by Peter Graves. This 90 minute full feature film was adapted from over 13 hours of cut scenes from the critically acclaimed adventure game of the same name, DARKSTAR is an independently produced, no-budget "out of Hollywood" sci-fi tale that combines dark humor with an intricate storyline that spans three centuries - and all written and produced by one man. I have a game called Darkstar One which I bought several years ago from Strategy First. It's an action game, and I think I got it as part of a bundle. I never played too much of it, but I always thought the storyline sounded neat. Does anyone know if the old game is in any way related to this new movie/game? Or is the name just a coincidence? Thanks GreyFuss. I figured as much, couldn't find any statements about the earlier game on the new site.
I tried to watch the DarkStar video, but it kept stuttering on me. (My internet service sometimes gets wacky.) This new game looked more like an adventure; it that right?
