E3 began today, it seems. And two new trailers have been shown for Witcher 3 at Microsoft's conference at E3 this year. The first trailer shows gameplay footage, you can view it here: 1st Trailer The second trailer provides information about Witcher 3 - the beginning, you can view it here: 2d TrailerDetox from the NeoGaf forums have read the latest issue of Edge Magazine, and has shared his findings with us in this thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=577061The info: There will be no overt tutorial instead mechanics will gradually be introduced. Combat system now has dodge in order to be closer to the pirouettes found in the books. Geralt can choose to execute or spare bandits, though he can loot them either way. They are targeting 30fps on console. Geralt will change his stance according to the task he is faced with e.g. wary if surrounded by a pack of monsters. They added Witcher sense similar to Batman's Detective mode so you can see weak points on monsters like The Fiend's lungs, or outside of battle to re create events like tracking a murderer. Main storyline is 40-50hrs, and another 40-50 in the open world. No "Fedex Quests." Choice and consequence will ripple across the world. Don't want to build a sandbox experience, storytelling is still the main goal. Some locations: Skellige: Nordic-style archipelago, Slavic-like No Mans Land and city of Novigrad. Geralt can jump. In-house motion capturing, though the horse was done somewhere else. Looks great if you ask me

OMG, that is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! The music is wonderful and I love it that Geralt has aged. Now, if I can only play it. Gil.

I'm not sure some of the ladies on the board will approve of the New Geralt with beard and all Here's one that does! Whoo hoo! Gil.

I've never played any of the Witcher games. I love Tomb Raider games. Is it anything like TR or are they more strategy?

Oh, my goodness! I got an email from them about a week ago and just haven't taken the time to click on all the links. Thanks, Karsten! I just finished rebuilding my computer in anticipation of Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt.
And I wholeheartedly approve of the beard, but like l4l, sure hope it's the same voice actor. I didn't like Geralt's look at all in Witcher 2 - he had this huge jaw...
Gerry, the Witcher games are pure RPG games that are very story driven.

I played about 1/2 the first one and then my computer died. When I decided to replay on my new machine, one of my disks was bad. I do have the 2nd, but wanted to finish the first before playing the 2nd. I will most definitely get the 3rd. I was looking around for the enhanced edition of the 1st yesterday but didn't find a physical copy, so might have to go for steam's digital one. Gerry, I've never played the Tomb Raider games so I can't compare them. The first Witcher has some decisions involved as you can use certain potions at certain times, and I think there are times you can chose to fight or not, but it's not like a Real Time Strategy game.

Yes, you have to get the first two Witcher games digitally now. If you have a copy of the 1st one or the 2nd one with the code, you can get a free copy from GOG. Even the 2nd one needs a update that requires you to download content if you have the disk version.

Thanks Karsten! I'm not sure some of the ladies on the board will approve of the New Geralt with beard and all Well ... I hope there is a hair salon in this game as in the last, I like the original Geralt and in games you don't need to age

Thanks Drac, I'll see if I kept it once I knew it didn't work anymore. Mcc, can I just live in a game, please?

Only if living in a game lets your regress to a younger age and stay there!

GOG has Witcher enhanced edition now for 9.99 and Witcher 2 enhanced edition for 19.99.
Before Skyrim came along Witcher was my all time favorite RPG (in fact probably PC game)but now it's pretty much of a toss up. Still have a place in my heart for The Witcher though.

I started the series in the PC and plan to buy this one also for PC.
Creeping_Doom, do you think it would look bad in a console? Normally games have less bugs in consolole version.

In my opinion, there will never be an opening cut scene to equal that of the first Witcher!

My ISP definitely throttles me after about 65 MB. I hate it, but out here in the country I'm lucky to have any kind of broadband at all.

I will Mad, I was having such fun when my computer died last time and I just never got back to it. I found my manual so I'm all set now. Drac, I'd feel better about it if they'd admit it, or if I lived in the country where I'd like to be.
