I started the series in the PC and plan to buy this one also for PC.
Creeping_Doom, do you think it would look bad in a console? Normally games have less bugs in consolole version. I think the largest reason that there may seem to be fewer bugs in a console version of a game , is largely due to , I think , that developers don't have to tweak the game as much for it to function properly . The simpler something is , the less chance for something to go wrong . Even with the current console offerings from Microsoft and Sony , consoles are technologically inferior to pc's in practicallly all ways . A console is a bit more cost effective to operate , but a nicely equipped pc will run circles around a console , both in terms of graphic performance and tchnical power (processor , ram , etc) .

RE: PC vs. Console Also, in making games for the PC, I think the developers have to take into account the various types of hardware configurations the players will be using. They want to make the game playable for as many rigs as they feasibly can. I'm sure this would be tricky when trying to track down bugs, etc.
Building for the console would be more focused in this regard. Not as many different hardware setups to take into account?

Only two really . As for developers having to take numerous configurations into account , only if they choose to .

As for developers having to take numerous configurations into account , only if they choose to . Very true. I guess it becomes a balance of development cost or design concept vs. more potential game sales.
