For the pc mod enthusiasts, Beyond Skyrim has been announced. Separate teams of modders are working on recreating the rest of Tamriel for us to visit, including parts or all of High Rock, Elsweyr, Hammerfell, Cyrodiil, Morrowind and Valenwood. The screenshots so far look pretty cool! You can check out their progress over at Dark Creations. http://www.darkcreations.org/or their FB page https://www.facebook.com/BeyondSkyrimWorth noting, Dark Creations is also host to Hoddminir, a completely new worldspace mod.

I've read some of the linked material, but couldn't figure out whether this will end up being one mega-mod that you load via Nexus or Steam Workshop. If it's a paid-for mod, they'll need Bethesda's blessing at the very least, if they use any of the Skyrim assets (as it would appear they are, from the screenshots). Will you be able to walk from Skyrim over the mountains into the next area? (couldn't tell you what's next door, my lore knowledge isn't strong enough yet) Perhaps it'll act like adding a library of thousands of side-quests to Skyrim

From what I've read, gremlin, they originally intended it to be one big mod at the beginning, so you'd be able to just travel on foot from one province to another, which would have been really cool. Unfortunately they figured out that there is a bug/limitation in Skyrim that will only allow a single worldspace to be so big so they had to scrap that idea. They'll be working on and releasing each province separately because of that. I'm sure they will be released on Nexus but probably not Workshop since there is a size limit on mods on there. The recent new land mod Falskaar was not able to be on workshop because it's too big so I'm sure these will probably be the same. I don't think it would be legal for them to charge for it but I could be wrong about that. Here's a map of Tamriel if you want to know what borders Skyrim. http://www.tes.altervista.org/mappagigante.jpgOne thing you can be sure of. Wherever you go, there'll be a cave bear chewing at your backside. Boy, if that isn't the truth.
