“NoseBound” is an adventure game that proposes an entangling detective story. By combining engaging flashbacks and flash forwards, entertaining puzzles and dramatic scenes of action, the game sinks the player in a charmed, churned circle of deception, noir ambiance and a very peculiar opponent.
With a good combination of puzzle, action and adventure. Aesthetically conceived as a film noir made in the 40’s, "NoseBound" proposes an intelligent camera setting that delivers a cinematic gameplay mode.
Background The long-term objective is to create a downloadable game, divided in episodes, much like a TV series or a serialized novel. The story development would have a very entangling rhythm, always aiming to create a dramatic grip for the next chapter, but also transforming each chapter into a self-contained unit.
Description In the initial chapters of “NoseBound”, you play as the character Ray Hammond, a private eye with a gritty past and unorthodox methods to pull off his job. The story brings you back and forth, from the end to the very beginning. Yours is the chance to find out what happened, how it happened, and to live the story by yourself.
The phone rings, you equip yourself with the basic detective gear and off your office you go. You start the investigation, you interrogate some contacts, you snoop around following clues, and as soon as you poke your nose deep enough, the big troubles begin. Troubles you may solve with your wits, or your guns. You would also play with alternate characters, George Smithers, the missing friend, and Mrs. Kovacks, the femme fatale that every Noire story´s got to have. Key Features
Melee Combat Pick-up Items Ladders Black & white Filters, Film noise, Scratches. Dialogs with options NPC (non playable characters) Adult content (low violence, adult language, some nudity) Movable objects. puzzle mechanisms. Picklock, breaking windows, and other alternate difficulties.
Market Target We aim to distribute the game through various channels like: First Objective: PC/ Mac. through Direct purchase from Official website. PC/Mac. through Online Stores such as Steam and others.
Second Objective: Apple Mobile and Tablets. through Apple´s App-Store. Android Mobile Smartphones and Tablets. through Google Play.

Well... who could resist checking out a game named "Nosebound"? Not I!! Plus, it's a detective story promising a "noir ambience" in a 1940's environment & good screenshots to boot! All, enticing ingredients to me. Am still not a fan of downloading, but with those 'ingredients', and its being episodic ( shorter DL times), I may well overlook my objections and do the downloads anyway.

A little Tex Murphy feel over the music and feel of the game, right? Wonder if they are fans of Tex themselves...

Am I the only one who's worried about that "melee combat"? It sounds like an interesting game but that particular bit has me thinking it may be more of an action-adventure?
I'll be back, one day, when I feel like it.

Pollo, I checked into this prior to posting the announcement and their are action scenes located at the end of the chapter (episode) and it will require some fast reflexes but the game will auto save before the action starts so you will not have to start over from a previous save if you don't make it. Nancy Drew's do the same thing so I will consider it to be adventure.
