the puzzle that's on the top of the crypt,it saysto swap puzzle pieces and when completediwill open secret chamber.

do u know how to write a walkthrough

ronrob's walkthrough says:

The scroll you found back at the house told you that the knobs in the outer ring must be swapped with the eye tiles in the inner ring. (Note: Also see page 14 of the game manual.)

The knobs and eyes can be moved only along the slots. To move a knob or eye, click it and then click the open spot where you want it to go. Some of the outer tiles have only one slot by which to enter the inner ring, so it is probably best to start with those.

There's a YouTube video HERE that shows the puzzle being solved. That part begins at around 3.5 mins in.

thanks but I figured it out and now iam in the boiler room and turned on the boilerand the valvein the small chamber but I can,t find the the mechanical valve puzzle.help.

From the walkthrough, after you light the boiler:
Enter Doorway at the right and rotate the red wheel valve near the floor.

I checked to see if there is a puzzle with valves. It seems that you have to turn different red valves at different places.

I have done this and nothing is happening,ihave done just what the walkthrough said to do.it (it says this will unlock the mechanical device and valve handles above.and your ready to do puzzle,but where is it at.anyone knows.thanks

The walkthrough states that the puzzle is "above the boiler room".

The other walkthrough states: from the 4-way intersection. Take the Path forward and Forwardx2. Left and Forwardx2 into the tall, narrow structure.

iam at the box puzzle,spider diagram,i have the 3 symbols the cards gave me,and put each one on the paper that is in my cd box,but I don't know what to do next(I lost my spider that came in my cd box)now what do I do to the box puzzles to get the bag of orbs.thanks

I don't have a (n) symbol and I don't have any idea (number) telling me how many moves to make from one symbol to the next..please help.

There's no "n" symbol. "N" in this case stands for the total number of orbs that were shaking after you spoke with Tara.

Here's what should happen:

- Take the first symbol that Tara gave you, and locate it on the journal diagram. [The spider diagram]
- Now count clockwise however many spaces according to the number of shaking orbs.
- You've landed on a new symbol - that is one of the symbols to be entered onto the box.
- Repeat this process for the other two symbols given by Tara.
- Once all 3 new symbols are entered onto the box (in any order) you should be able to progress.

If you can't remember how many shaking orbs there were, then you'll need to go back to an earlier saved game and replay through the whole section with Tara. It's a randomly generated puzzle, so we can't give you the answer here.

iam trying to say is there were no shaking orbs at all when she gave me my cards with the symbols on it

The shaking orbs are at a different point in the game than the moment where Tara gives you the cards.

Did you visit and speak with the witch yet? The witch lives in a different building, back in the alley. Tara should have told you to visit her.

In your dialogue with the witch, she should have asked you to go into another room and fetch her bag of orbs. After solving a box puzzle, you then take her the orbs. Then she shows you a diagram, I believe, and you see all the orbs, a number of which will be shaking. Count how many are shaking.
