Kinda feels like Myst meets Last Half Of Darkness. Interesting.

More like Dear Esther or Montague's Mount or Eleusis.

I have to agree with you, Jenny, although I've never seen anything but demos and playthroughs of any of them.
Racing through that, it was a lot like the demo of Eleusis.

Yes. Myst was "mysterious" and slightly ominous due to being deserted.
But it wasn't "dark" like those other games are dark.
I never got the sensation that there might be a "pure elemental evil" lurking nearby in any of the Myst games.

Reading my post again, I don't find anything in it strictly comparing the game's plot to Myst. I simply remarked that it looked like it had an island like Myst did. Further clarification--the overhead map shows what looks like a couple of structures that appear to be man-made, possibly mechanical gadgets or instruments of some kind requiring some type of interaction. That's all I was getting at. Not every use of the word "Myst" needs to read so literally. For many, "Myst" was the foundation of a whole genre of games founded on the idea of solo exploration in a first person perspective, logical, deductive thought, creepiness/fear/horror/terror/uneasiness and atmospheric plot advancing a storyline slowly revealed.

I learnt a lesson referring to Myst in a game review.
I was describing the movement in the game, and ending up summarising it as something like "think Myst, but in a real location". It ended up being used on the retail box release as a stand alone quote.
It wasn't entirely inaccurate but certainly not what I intended when I used it.
Given its pedigree, you cant be too careful when referring to it

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice, that at the end of the video when looking down on the island....
It looked like a witches face.
Loved the graphics.

I really want to get this game - it looks fabulous and I love creepy horror games!
