I'm a returning player to Bigfish, and a new on here - thank you Marian & BrownEyedTiger, started playing it last night already hooked:)

This was a stonking good game. I think this is probably my favourite casual game ever. It was incredibly difficult; I've never had to consult the hint button so many times during the sequence puzzles.
It's astonishing to think that it only costs the same as other good casual games, not to mention the mediocre ones. What tremendous value, and I only played the SE version.

Incidentally, towards the latter stages of the game I had a message saying FPS was low and did I want to turn off the special effects. I didn't and it played fine. What is FPS?

That is your framerate per second, meryl. You may wish to post in Glitches to see if you are overheating or soomething.

I really enjoyed the game as well. It was a lot of excellent gameplay for the money!

For some reason I didn't care for this game very much. I started getting bored with the repetition and didn't think the game flowed very well or that some of the puzzles made sense. I did like Isis though.

Isn't there another game involving Madame Fate, too? Or am I confused? I loved the carnival scene, and saving the carnies from their various predicaments. Unusual and fun. Pesky mini games, lots to do, head-scratcher. My kinda game.

You are correct: the first game was called Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate and was released in 2007. It is primarily a hidden object game with some minigames included such as word puzzles. It is very well done but heavy on the HOG scenes. Several of the characters in Fate's Carnival were also in the first game.
