It's been a long time since I've been to gameboomers but here goes. I'm stuck in chapter 4 of Dead Space 3 trying to figure out the solution to the mini-game that opens the nearby elevator door. I've tried any number of pathways in the mini-game but they all end in "access denied". I've also looked at a wide variety of walkthroughs but they seem to be of no help. They refer to the mini-game as a simplistic, easy puzzle without providing a solution. Can anybody out there help me get past this stage in Dead Space 3?

Learn every step, every time you loose it repeats itself. Normally there are like 9 steps, I don't remember very well. Learn the first step, and the second and so on.

These mini games are annoying but not difficult.

I guess you know what you have to do - placing the moving circles on the fixed ones, and pressing x in PS3, I think (maybe another key).

to mcc: thanks for the quick response but I'm not sure what you mean when you say "I guess you know what you have to do". I can see where there might be 9 steps but do I have to place the two moving circles on "each" of the empty fixed ones and press X each time or do I press X only once at the end for each moving circle. I notice that when I press X on either of the two upper non-empty circles that the moving circles stop moving. I'm still perplexed.

jim, you cover both circles and you press the x after the 2 circles are covered.

I guess, but I don't know, the mini games are the same for each game, if so you can copy the images from a video WT and plan the movements ahead.

If you can use your 2 hands simultaneously it saves a lot of time that is the biggest problem.
