On looking at a walkthrough as I cannot remember that bit, it says; You have to look close up at the clock and that On the backside of the alarm clock you can find the key to wind it up. Hope that helps
In inventory look at the alarm clock and get a key. Use the key on the alarm clock. Fenton winds the clock.

According to MaG's walkthrough: Go to the museum. If you haven't yet, go to the front of the museum and take the camera ad poster from the advertising pillar.
Check the double doors at right. Fenton notes the round handles to get an active doorknob. When you enter the museum, do you see double doors to the right?

Looking at MaG's walkthrough, you need to use the metal post on the mound of dirt in order to get the wet soil. If you don't have the metal post, here is the section of the walkthrough where you pick up the metal post:
Clear the entryway to central chamber.
As Fenton - Go right, now that the river is gone.
A stone pillar formed by stalactite and stalagmite is blocking the room at right.
As Richard - Take the right pillar holding the chain. Get chain and metal post.
Use the metal post on the stalactite and the stalagmite forming in front of the room at right.

Robert, Are you in the correct cave? You should be in the temple cave. That is where the pedestal is located. Fenton can then take the stone block. To exit; As I mentioned before - use the space bar or the magnifying lens at bottom right.
