I am confused by the Bonus punch Mondays at BF. I contacted them and they sent me this:

"There were recent changes to the Big Fish Game Club Monthly Punch Card program. Punches cannot be earned for redeeming a Punch Card coupon, buying a Gift Certificate, or buying an additional Game Club credit.

Punch Card coupon redemptions are eligible for bonus punches during a Bonus Punch Promotion. When a Punch Card coupon is used during a Bonus Punch Promotion 1 punch will be added. We apologize for any confusion this caused."

I am still confused. I bought 3 games yesterday and only got 1 bonus punch. I used 3 game coupons. I'm probably very dense but can someone explain this policy to me.

The way I understand it is this: if you use a punch card coupon code to purchase a game, you will no longer get a punch on your punch card. The exception to this will be Bonus Punch Mondays (i.e., a Bonus Punch Promotion day): if you use a punch card coupon code on a Monday, you will receive one punch on your punch card for each game you purchase.

My understanding is that you do not earn a punch for using a punch card coupon which makes sense because otherwise you earn free games bu using free game coupons and they would never sell games.

AS far as the bonus punch during Monday sales it seems as though you should have received one for each and ended up with three. I would write them back and say you are missing two.

I also used a punch card coupon to purchase a game and did not receive a punch. After writing to them, they explained the new policy. I believe that it's fair, but had been unaware. They sent me a code for a free game. Big Fish rises above and beyond in taking care of their customers.

Maybe I'm confused over what a punch card coupon is as opposed to a earned free game coupon.

A free game coupon that you earned from filling a punch card is a punch card coupon.

I was a tad confused also, as I like to use my bonus game punch coupons to fill up my recent month's meter to get that extra free game before the month endds. I purchased two games today using the coupons, so when my meter did not move from 4 to 6 (free game), I was like what?!? I can understand why they changed their policy, but I wish they had made it more clear to customers given this is a big change.

Thanks Marian. I'm usually lurking, heh. I was going to post my own question about this policy change, but I saw that someone else beat me to the punch. This obviously will not stop me from using bigfish as I like their platform, but this does change how I will use the free coupons in the future. Have a nice weekend!
