I got the scissors and broke them several times in trying to get the floor board up in Room E1 present time. The MaGtRo walk through (yeah, I use walk throughs being new to all this)says to remove floor board with a click-hold-move right and left movement. I do that but all that happens is that I get a sound effect of the board sorta moving. If I click scissors again, they break, again. So, do I keep moving the scissors back and forth until something happens before I try the board, keep trying the board even if nothing happens with the scissors first or what.

This part of the game is a bit glitchy on my XP Pro laptop as the cursor sometimes goes to the left of the screen and gets stuck there; so far I have been able to reactivate it with patience.

The other walk through I have has even less info than the as-always good MaGtRo one.

Try this suggestion from MaG on an older thread:

Before you do this puzzle - save the game so you don't need to keep on getting a new scissors.

Then insert the scissors - move it in a prying motion - up/down - not forward/backward. You want to pop the eye out.

Thanks, Rushes. I am looking for blood money or a diary, I think. As I recall, the eye ball was easy in comparison, in a different room. I'll try again tonight but back and forth about five times (I quickly learned to save while I had scissors before trying, lol)didn't get it. I'll let you know if this works tonight.

I got it--If I didn't release the click-hold after moving the scissors back and forth a bit I could go to the board and move it out of the way. The stuff in the hidey hole was revealed. But releasing the click-hold after moving the scissors then trying to click-hold on the board didn't work.

This is a really dark game, BTW! The only thing I ever played or "watched" that gave me the creeps.
