GOG is having a Spring Insomnia Sale and this time the games are not moving slowly. They are flying out of there! Oh, man, I just saved $27 on Sam and Max Save the World and the game was up there for maybe a minute! Gil.

Fortunately, I didn't sneeze. These discounts are really deep; it's no wonder the games are up for such a short time! Have you grabbed anything, Marian? Gil.

Thanks, traveler. I was fast enough to pick up a copy of Space Quest 4-6, so now I have the entire series on GOG in addition to my original disk copies. The patches work great for the latter, but it never hurts to have back-ups. Now I'm just hoping I can complete my King's Quest collection as well, and possibly throw some Kyrandias in there. I may have to wait for another sale, but I can be patient. EDIT: Managed to snag King's Quest 4-6 as well! I foolishly almost clicked on Cognition, too, before I remembered that I had three copies including the GOG version.

Looks like it depends on the game. They had Jack Keane 2 (not sure what it was, but it was priced at $30 and selling for a couple bucks I think). 18000 of them flew off the shelf. GOG picked then to sign me out in mid processing. But it didn't look like I missed much based on the reviews.
Currently it's on Entomoroph and that is going at a slug's pace. Even for only hundreds available, it looks like it will be up them for 15-30 mins.
I wish I had been up for the KQ and SQ sale.
Venus: if you click it to order and already own it, the form will tell you it must be gifted to someone else.

Coreoverload, So many gamers are watching GOG right now that I got a GOG bear apology a couple of times when I left the site and tried to get back. I'll bet they put the really popular ones up for sale again so don't give up on KQ and SQ yet. After all, there aren't really "limited quantities" of digital downloads. Did they really put up Jack Keane 2 again? Lol! It stuck the last Insomnia Sale for hours! It took so much flak from people making fun of it in the forums that maybe they decided we'd buy it just to see how bad it really is. Gil.

How bad it really is ?? I haven't started it myself yet but gremlin's review here at Gameboomers didn't rate it as "BAD"

Mad, I'm guessing that most of the forum members aren't adventure gamers and they fumed a lot about waiting for the game to sell during that last Insomnia Sale and it took forever. Now JK2 appears to be a joke that comes up in topics that aren't remotely related to it. Go figure. I can't say myself since I haven't played it but I imagine gremlin's opinion holds for most adventure gamers. Edit: Ho! I just saw an action game repeat - Full Spectrum Warriors: Ten Hammers. The only thing is, I'm not sure if it sold out the first time around or if they're picking up from where they left off, if you get my drift. Still, maybe your games will repeat, Coreoverload. Gil.

OMG, I hadn't read those before, Coreoverload but you're right, some of them are really funny. I probably shouldn't say this (your private PM is over the limit though), but the pun in the last review on page three had me grinning from ear to ear. Bad me. Gil.

Well, Quest for Glory 1-5 wasn't showing up on my "bookcase of games" at GOG, so I tried to buy it. Only GOG wouldn't let me -- said I already had it and that I had to buy it as a gift. Since it wasn't in my bookcase, I figured GOG was wrong about my owning it, so I put my own email address in it to receive a code. Then by switching in between "manual" and "date" and "title" a few times, it showed up on my "bookcase." I also had a code show up in my mailbox. Weird it didn't show up until after I bought the code, but I think it just wasn't showing before. Apparently I actually did buy it a few months ago (going by their sort-by-date).
I should probably write down every game I've bought from them as I buy it, to make sure there are no other "hidden" games.
Anyway, now I've got this extra code. Anyone want to try a GOG code for Quest for Glory 1-5 ? It only cost me about $2.50, so I'm just giving it away.
Anyone want the code? First come, first served.

If anyone isn't already bleary eyed from watching the sale, Round Three: Last Chance has just started. And the games are moving fast! I'm hanging in there for Driftmoon (pardon me for mentioning an RPG ) but you still have a chance at some great games dirt cheap, maybe even Jack Keane 2! Gil.

Ended up with Paper's Please from the sale. And it wasn't the Insomnia sale, but I finally crossed Inherit the Earth and Cat Lady off my list too. I got some old Apogee games too. You know how GOG loves their sales. Not a day after "Insomnia" ended, they had another sale.
