This is a really fun game, with a lot of manageable challenges. It is also one possible to actually play for free if you manage cleverly. I have the iPad version, and I finally broke down and spent a rousing $1.99 for a larger newspaper subscription. That's been my only purchase, and I'm now almost halfway through Chapter 4 with three stars on each case.
There are a few grammatical errors, but they don't interfere with game enjoyment, and the Facebook fan page is great for all kinds of support. It's also one that does not require neighbors or any social interactions to succeed.
I'm no fan of overall FTP games, but this one is a genuine exception!

I agree with Cynder. So far, after trying a few of them, I've been very disappointed with BFGs move into FTP games, but I like the premise of this game a lot. For those who've gone past Level 4, I'm having a devil of a time choosing the right buildng or square where the cat is hiding. I've gone thru the clues and tried the first tool which seems to just confuse me. Any other hints or willing to share which building to pick? thanks!

Butterflybabe, there's a wiki here: http://anothercasesolved.wikia.com/wiki/Another_Case_Solved_WikiI haven't had an opportunity to really use it, but it's supposed to be very helpful. I'm still in Chapter 4, and the only cat case I had was back near the beginning. You can also ask on the Facebook fan page. They were great helping me find one bonus case that eluded me.

Cynder, Thanks so much for the info. I checked the Wiki site and found it confusing. Couldn't find anything helpful and saw too many spoilers I'm not on Facebook any more, spent too much time on it. Tho I've felt tempted to return. I just need someone to point me toward the 'rat-infested' building. I thought it'd be near the wharfs but those two were wrong. You don't happen to remember, by any chance, do you?

If you mean the one in the Prized Pussycat case, where Patience DeMonde has you looking for her cat (and she's just a lovely *cough* woman---more on her later), it IS hard to find. Here you are:
It's on the very bottom of the map. The dock is one square over to the left and down with the pub right above it. The building is one directly to the right of the pub. There's only one other building next to it on the right and that's the edge of the map.
