20 pounds at simplycdkeys.com, that is the version I bought: you get a CD key to input into steam. Then you download for a long while (did an overnight pre-load).

I could not imagine downloading a 41GB game. I guess for consoles at least blue-rays will be in use for a while.
I love playing adventure games like Gemini Rue on my ipad mini and Gray Matter on my PC Netbook.

Well I went ahead and bought a CD key as well. I tried simplycdkeys but they wouldn't accept my US address so I found another CDkey site that would. I saved $20 which made it more palatable. The download took over 30 hours but it worked and I am now easing in to the game. Have just made it past the initial tutorials in the first Chapter and I think a nearing the end of chapter one.
I like the graphics and it has so much more than previous Wolfenstein games. For me, a combat wimp, it is going to be a challenge and I have it on the easiest level which I think they incidentally call "Wimp Level". All in all I think it will be a welcome change for a while.

Well the more I get into this game the more I like it. Chapter 2 really gets you into the meat of the storyline and it is an interesting concept to say the least.
A couple of pet peeves:
It takes a while to load the game and reload if you get killed and every time you start the game you have to go through the whole credits thing and there is no shortcut to just go right to the main menu.
Also every time I start up the game tells me that my graphics card may need updating and the card it recommends is for a notebook. I checked and my graphics driver is the latest available yet I still get that message when I start up. It's not a problem just an irritant.
Other than that I'm really liking the game, the story line and especially the graphics. I've only just started Chapter 2 so haven't played enough to really evaluate my opinion of the game but so far I'm glad I bought it.

I'm glad you are having fun, Oldman. I really dislike having to sit through credits. You'd think there'd be a shortcut to skip them.

We have German relatives staying with us right now. Guenter played a bit of the game with our grandson on the XBox. He found all the dialogue very amusing. He said a German Nazi flag was reversed... games like this are banned in Germany even if the Nazis are the bad guys.

I have played both timelines, it is very much the same for both paths. If one plays the second timeline choosing Chapters instead of new one keeps all the perks accumulated and weapon upgrades (not the weapons, these will appear in time), it is in fact equivalent to game +.
It is important to watch, really to listen to, the end of the credits because one can hear a sound that clarifies the ending.
