It's Official! We’re bringing Grim back! Double Fine is pleased to announce that, along with the console exclusive PlayStation 4 and Vita versions of Grim Fandango, Manny will also reap once again on PC, Mac, and Linux! And that’s not all, folks! All versions will be launching simultaneously, so everyone can play on day one and not have to worry about those spoilers you’ve been successfully avoiding for the past fifteen years. (Pro-tip: stay off Twitter.) But hopefully, after all those years of patience, you can hold out just a BIT longer. Until then, here’s a retrospective on the game from 2 Player Productions! Check out the video here. Ana

As there is more news, it will be told. This is obviously still in the early stages so a release date would be premature. Ana

This is such great news! I'm really curious if they'll allow choice between traditional tank controls and a new point n click style. I didn't mind the original style, but from the previous thread it seems a lot of people want the option. here The fact they announced it for PS4 first and there's no mention of iOS which would require touch control makes me think they'll stick with traditional controls that work with keyboard or joystick. But I guess we'll see! Excited no matter what.

I agree with Draclvr on the other thread. I never finished the original because of the clunky controls. I really hope they do remake it as a simple p&c. Looking forwrd to it either way. Had it on floppy so threw it out when I no longer had a drive.

I don't think you are, wrong, Marian. I certainly never saw a floppy disk version and I played the game on its original release

I agree with Draclvr on the other thread. I never finished the original because of the clunky controls. I really hope they do remake it as a simple p&c. Looking forwrd to it either way. Had it on floppy so threw it out when I no longer had a drive. You must be confusing Grim Fandango with another game. With 660.4 MB on the first CD and 662.7 MB on the second CD (total 1323.1) and a maximum of 1.44 MB per floppy, it would have taken at least 919 floppies. The demo alone is 54.3 MB which would have been at least 38 floppies. You see how that would present a problem. +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ As for point-and-click, *** !!! There is actually a fan-made patch to make it work as a point-and-click !!! *** http://tobiaspfaff.com/blog/2014/05/25/grim/http://forums.residualvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=623Yes, someone got so fed up with the poorly implemented keyboard controls that they made a point-and-click patch. The patch is made to work with ResidualVM. ResidualVM is a similar idea as ScummVM only meant for games like Grim Fandango, Escape for Monkey Island, and Myst III. It only really works with Grim at the current time though. http://www.residualvm.org/http://www.residualvm.org/compatibility/ResidualVM is still a work in progress, as is the patch, but they are worth keeping an eye on -- especially since ResidualVM has versions for Mac and Linux as well as Windows.
