I haven't played this in ages but there are 2 ways to get to the cellar. One by the kitchen's coffe grinder that you need to crank and the other is at the library - room 37. There's a bell pull there and it goes one way down to the cellar. Hope this might help.

ooops.. fixed the one you answered MaGs... now I have another prob, see above!!!

Oh and BTW, no-one mentioned anything mazelike in this game... (cellar is a pain ) I think I need to print out its map!! Off to try upstairs, I can always come back to the bits I have missed downstairs!!

Tig, to get the Braille safe open you need to turn: 1 right - 5 left - 4 right - 2 left...

In room 12, there's a book on the table. It has braille alphabets and numbers. After entering the deciphered combination - rotate the large handle.

SAFECRACKER is one of my favorites. I've played it about 3 times and finished well before the time limit. Just take your time and explore everything. If you can't use it or open it yet, you will! Everything is interconnected and all right there in the house. ( Just don't go outside unless you've saved your game.)

had a flash of inspiration and instead of moving one notch right before going left... I actually went right until I was Back at no1..

Solved through grit and determination Now I'm trying to find the clues for the jukebox.. no hints yet please.. I'm Sure I can do it by myself

Y'know, come to think of it, I drew a pencil version of the map too, for that very reason. LOL

Keep rummaging around, the hints are there somewhere.
