I've just started to play the game and am finding the curser lagging behind my mouse movements. Am I supposed to use the keyboard for movement or is there something else I need to do in settings (I've adjusted mouse speed to no effect) or patches?

But in any case, I think maybe you should ask your question on the Glitches Board as it sounds like it might be a techie problem.

Oops! Just answered in the Discussions thread... you'll have to delete me there.

Anyway, if you go into Options and Keyboard/Mouse settings, it tells you that you need to use the WASD keys for movement. W moves you forward, S backwards and A and D sideways. But mostly you just use the W key. Moving your mouse from side to side pans or turns you left or right. This is not a point and click game.

There are 3 patches available which improve the Save system.

General help for this game on Steam:

Change the "Camera Smoothing" option in the Controls sub-menu to 0.

That is told to help with laggy cursor.

Thanks for a really fast answer. I'd seen that and I have tried the W etc. but that wasn't very responsive either. The mouse can be used but movement 'lags'.

I'll go back to trying the WASD keyboard controls if that's how everyone is playing the game.

Sorry just correct what I said earlier. The mouse doesn't allow movement, I meant to have said panning.

Camera smoothing doesn't seem to help. The only thing that has helped is increasing mouse sensitivity to 100% but there is still some annoying lagging.

Does your video card meet the minimum specs for this game? If it doesn't, you might try going into the game options and turning down as many of the graphics effects as you can.
