Good morning everyone,
It's another lovely day. It's a yoga morning and then I think I'll sort out the recycling to take to the Depot and stash it in my car so I don't forget it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready to start your day! It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday. I have errands to run today...my daughter and hubby are coming to visit for the weekend. Tonight we are getting the smoke from the New Jersey forest fire...air quality will be poor on Friday...hopefully the rain expected Saturday will put out the fire and clear the air. Wishing you all a sunny day to enjoy! Gerry

Good morning all,
It's a nothing day for me today, thankfully. I've been waking up very early for some reason. Makes it hard to get motivated to do anything. I was going to set up my new modem and its 4-hour backup battery today but I think I'll wait until I'm more coherent, even though the equipment came with instructions.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Thursday morning! Another sunny 80 degree day today. It's so green here. The woods are so pretty with all the different shades of green as the trees leaf out peppered with white dogwoods and purple red buds.
This is volunteer appreciation week for the Humane Society of Missouri. Out here at Longmeadow, they've had special things every day and today they are bringing in pizza. I picked today to go down. They are also doing a "Teenage Dirtbag" thing. I was supposed to send them a pic of me as a teenager and everyone would try to guess who it was. Do you know how hard it is to find pictures of yourself from 65 years ago! For one thing, we seldom even TOOK pictures! I did find one from 1961 when I was 14 - it was my confirmation in our little country church. But everyone will know who it is because no one else is this old!! Anyway, should be fun and WOOT! I'm not cooking!
Then it's the last night of league bowling tonight. The is our "money night" when you bowl against yourself and we divide up the money from selling 50/50 tickets for each place. I'm ready for it to be over!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone. I had big plans to get to Campbell River today but my sleep seems to be deteriorating. I've always had trouble, but I have been doing quite well for the last while. I do hope I'm not headed back down into the two-hours-a -night pit. There seems to be rhyme nor reason to it and the usual suggestions have never worked for me. It's just something that happens, but it can last for as long as a year. Makes driving virtually impossible.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Friday afternoon everyone! It is starting to look like nightfall outside as we are expecting storms here. I'll be making a short grocery list today. Will be trying two recipes, Cod Curry and Greek Lemon Potatoes, but not together. Last week (once my brother brought my spinach home that he had missed) I made Blackberry Balsamic Spinach Salad and Chicken Liver Omelette Pizza, which was *different*. I still think the best way for chicken livers is sauteed in butter with salt and pepper but I like to try different ways to cook things. I hope you all enjoy your day (and weekend, if I don't pop back in)!

Good Friday afternoon. Had a bit of running around to do this morning, so just now checking in to the break room.
I will be gone all day tomorrow working the big Spring Fling fundraiser down at the Ranch. We usually have around 700 people if the weather cooperates. There is a country church with a large parking lot across from the road down to the Ranch, so all the staff parks up there and they have other staff shuttling us down to the Ranch. It's about a mile and a half back in the woods! It's tricky getting all the visitor cars parked down there. I will mostly be doing wagon ride tours. Gonna be a long day!
Oldbroad, that salad sounds heavenly. I'm always looking for good salads like that. But the chicken livers you can keep for yourself!
