Good morning everyone,
It's another lovely day. It's a yoga morning and then I think I'll sort out the recycling to take to the Depot and stash it in my car so I don't forget it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready to start your day! It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday. I have errands to run today...my daughter and hubby are coming to visit for the weekend. Tonight we are getting the smoke from the New Jersey forest fire...air quality will be poor on Friday...hopefully the rain expected Saturday will put out the fire and clear the air. Wishing you all a sunny day to enjoy! Gerry

Good morning all,
It's a nothing day for me today, thankfully. I've been waking up very early for some reason. Makes it hard to get motivated to do anything. I was going to set up my new modem and its 4-hour backup battery today but I think I'll wait until I'm more coherent, even though the equipment came with instructions.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Thursday morning! Another sunny 80 degree day today. It's so green here. The woods are so pretty with all the different shades of green as the trees leaf out peppered with white dogwoods and purple red buds.
This is volunteer appreciation week for the Humane Society of Missouri. Out here at Longmeadow, they've had special things every day and today they are bringing in pizza. I picked today to go down. They are also doing a "Teenage Dirtbag" thing. I was supposed to send them a pic of me as a teenager and everyone would try to guess who it was. Do you know how hard it is to find pictures of yourself from 65 years ago! For one thing, we seldom even TOOK pictures! I did find one from 1961 when I was 14 - it was my confirmation in our little country church. But everyone will know who it is because no one else is this old!! Anyway, should be fun and WOOT! I'm not cooking!
Then it's the last night of league bowling tonight. The is our "money night" when you bowl against yourself and we divide up the money from selling 50/50 tickets for each place. I'm ready for it to be over!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone. I had big plans to get to Campbell River today but my sleep seems to be deteriorating. I've always had trouble, but I have been doing quite well for the last while. I do hope I'm not headed back down into the two-hours-a -night pit. There seems to be rhyme nor reason to it and the usual suggestions have never worked for me. It's just something that happens, but it can last for as long as a year. Makes driving virtually impossible.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Friday afternoon everyone! It is starting to look like nightfall outside as we are expecting storms here. I'll be making a short grocery list today. Will be trying two recipes, Cod Curry and Greek Lemon Potatoes, but not together. Last week (once my brother brought my spinach home that he had missed) I made Blackberry Balsamic Spinach Salad and Chicken Liver Omelette Pizza, which was *different*. I still think the best way for chicken livers is sauteed in butter with salt and pepper but I like to try different ways to cook things. I hope you all enjoy your day (and weekend, if I don't pop back in)!

Good Friday afternoon. Had a bit of running around to do this morning, so just now checking in to the break room.
I will be gone all day tomorrow working the big Spring Fling fundraiser down at the Ranch. We usually have around 700 people if the weather cooperates. There is a country church with a large parking lot across from the road down to the Ranch, so all the staff parks up there and they have other staff shuttling us down to the Ranch. It's about a mile and a half back in the woods! It's tricky getting all the visitor cars parked down there. I will mostly be doing wagon ride tours. Gonna be a long day!
Oldbroad, that salad sounds heavenly. I'm always looking for good salads like that. But the chicken livers you can keep for yourself!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Morning Fogfighter, connie, soot, oldbroad, hagatha, Draclvr and everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. It's going to be a rainy day here. My daughter will be arriving early afternoon for a short weekend visit...looking forward to spending time with her. Soot I live in the country and am at the very end of the line for the internet...it is all state forest when you past my street...the utility poles end here. Frontier is my internet and landline phone. The company no longer maintains the cables, but fiber optic cable is supposed to be coming soon...they have been saying that for the last 3 years! The only time they do maintance on the copper cable is when I have an issue. Hagatha have you tried any of the "relaxing teas" just before bed to help you sleep? Draclvr Good Luck with the fund raiser for the horse rescue today! Hope everyone has a great day! Gerry

Good Saturday afternoon! Just got home from the big event at the Ranch a little while ago. It was kinda chilly, so we didn't have as many people as some Spring Flings. I'm guessing maybe 500 people. Still a really good day and hopefully they raised a goodly sum. This is our only fundraiser of the year.
I'm tired and I'm not cooking, so I think carry-out pizza it is for tonight!

Good Morning connie, soot, Draclvr and everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! I'm enjoying my 2nd cup already. I am enjoying my daughter's visit in spite of the rainy, foggy day yesterday. We got to shop successfully together for her upcoming birthday...it was such fun! Wishing you all a happy day! Gerry

Good Sunday morning! I slept really late this morning - like till almost 9! Guess I was tired from working the Spring Fling at the Ranch yesterday. The WADDB is slowing waking me up.
Sounds like we are having the same weather as you, Gerry. So glad you are enjoying your visit with your daughter!
When you said you were reading Norwegian fanzines, I wondered about the difference in language, Fogfighter!
Maybe a couple loads of laundry, but taking the day off otherwise!

Good morning Draclvr, Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry and all who follow. I'm thinking your sleeping in was just what you needed after yesterday Draclvr. Have a great visit Gerry. I've been enjoying WADDB, knäckebröd and bagels this morning. Need to run an errand this morning, get one chore done and then it'll be time take the rest of the day off. Have a wonderful Sunday ... take care everyone

Good morning everyone.
It's an absolutely lovely day here. I woke up late and realized that I had let Willow in to my room when I got up to let Dude in from outside in the middle of the night. She didn't wake me up, so maybe that's the solution to the early morning caterwauling. Poor Dude has a huge lump on his leg, obviously an infection. I can't believe I didn't notice it until now, so it's back to the vet for more attention.
It's a chore-free day today. I might plant my Arp Rosemary and the two little Lavender plants I bought last week. I have lots of sunny spots for them, but the soil is like concrete, so it can be a big job.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Glad to see that you have all been enjoying the weekend. Quite cold here and threatening rain showers, so I have dodged gardening tasks and done lazy indoor things like reading, also having this cute bit of video in my inbox whiuch I hope you will like https://www.facebook.com/reel/23878009908452019
