I am near the end of the game and I can not fine the hallway to find the repaired pipeline. The walkthru says to go down the stairs and go down hallway. I go down stairs and see dead body and the next move takes down to basement. What am I missing duh

Give me a minute and I'll look Redcell. I remember looking forever for stuff in this game. Did you check to see if the pipeline is in the basement?

Sue

Edit: Go down the stairs, step over the body and look at the doors at the end of the hall marked GX25.........repaired pipeline is just to the right of it.

Okay, I have finally made it past the 2nd nightmare and have woke up again to find 2 new people on the island and the bell tower relocked. I have succeeded in getting the door open, have found the rope attached to the fallen beam, and have figured out that I need to burn it off the beam in order to take it. Is there a trick to this? The game doesn't seem to give me enough time to add fuel to the small fire I start with the arid grass & rocks. My mouse moves too slow to get a stick out of inventory and add it to the fire in time before it goes out! Hints would be greatly appreciated....Joyous frown

Joyous I don't remember this part really clearly. Can't you grab as much of the dry grass and sticks as you can in inventory and keep the fire going?

It will only let me take 1 grab of the arid grass. If I try to take more than that, Adam says,"I have enough of that already". I do have several sticks in inventory and have tried adding them to the fire right after he says "the fire is almost out" (Just like when burning the log in the gap), but by the time the game lets me have control of the cursor and I grab the stick to add it, the fire is already out. I swear it only burns for about 2 seconds! The game just doesn't seem to respond fast enough for me to do what i need to do-am i going to need a saved game again? Or perhaps there is another way to remove the rope from the fallen beam?

You should be able to take more than 1 handful of grass Joyous. Wasn't there a patch of dried grass in the tower? Will the game let you put extra grass in there on the ground?
You are setting fire to the rope correct?

Yes, I was attempting to set fire to the rope and knew i was doing everything i could possibly do-the game engine just makes the mouse move so erratically i couldn't seem to do it! However, I tried a different tactic and went into the options menu and turned off the shadows, then tried again. It didn't make a miraculous difference, but did seem to make the mouse move a little smoother and the game move a fraction faster. After about 5 more tries, I finally succeeded in keeping the fire going and freeing the rope-thank goodness! Now, I just have to figure out why in the world I needed it in the first place!

Thank you for your suggestions, they helped trigger my mind to think outside the box! smile

Ok, I've made it to the island and managed to enter the native village. I have given the necklace to the native woman and the child told me about where Dieter went. However, when I crawl through the bushes, I am confronted with a dead-end and a very irate native who I can't seem to appease or make go away. I have found no other hotspots and would like to know exactly what I am supposed to do now? Is there something I missed that i can give the native? Is there a hidden opening I have not found? Please help! wink

Thanks Sue, I guess this instance is like the trouble I had making Izmael get out of the way at Maria's cabin, and discovered after much frustration that I needed to bop him on the head with a stick. Most of my games the characters will not let me directly harm other characters, so I guess my mind doesn't think that way- thanks for the tip! smile

I have a trick for passing the yellow ball puzzle. You can save after lighting each ball if you'd like but I saved after I lit 2-3 balls. This helps tremendously because you can keep going back to your saves when you die. Hope this helps.

I could also use the saved game, right after the arcade sequence in the first nightmare, in the construction sight. It would really help me out too. Thanks everyone

The saved game has been sent!

Saved game is being kicked back to me apparently for security reasons.

I, too, need a saved game after "the fear puzzle" where I'm sitting on a beam and little balls are falling into black holes.

I may not even attempt what I understand from reviews are two other similar puzzles coming up because, like others on this forum, my mouse is acting erratically, but only in this game.
