This is for those of you that played both games. Since many of you have now completed Azada 2 , what are your thoughts on Azada 2 as a sequel to Azada 1? Was it everything you hoped it would be and more? Did it fall short? If so, how? Just curious how you compare the two since one is a sequel to the other. Ana

I loved it. I love that the storyline(s) were so rich as well as character interaction. The puzzles weren't too difficult and weren't too easy and were IMHO, well integrated into the stories. The use of classic stories was ingenious and kept me glued to the computer. The graphics were top notch as was the music. I think everything was definitely a few steps up from Azada 1.
I think that it was a great sequel to Azada 1 giving the player more of an adventure feel and less disconnected puzzles. It seems like a natural progression -- to flesh out the story and ensure that the puzzles actually relate to the plot.
What I did miss was being bombarded with minigames (I know a lot of folks didn't really enjoy that aspect of the first one). It is something that I loved about the first one and is the reason I bought it (someone had suggested it on another forum -- that if you liked Safecracker, then check out Azada since it was almost like Safecracker Lite).
I know some folks around the internet have complained that it was "too short" but with casual games, "short" is relative to the player since a lot of time can be spent thinking about your next move. They are slightly different from adventure games where there may be a lot of reading/dialogue so I always keep that in perspective when I play a casual game.
To sum things up: I didn't want the game to end. When I feel that way about a game, it means it's definitely two thumbs up. I can't wait for the 3rd installment.

I loved Azada 2 more than Azada 1. Azada 1 was much harder and had too many mini games for my brain. I found the fairy tale stories in Azada 2 so much fun and finding what was needed in each story for me was the most fun. The mini games were the worst part in my opinion because I love interacting with the various objects in different rooms. Music usually gets on my nerves and I mute it in games. However in Azada 2 I loved the music in each chapter of the book as they varied. Also Titus is a handsome face to look at. Anyone know if Emmanuel who I hear created the game really looks similar to this? Titus looks like he was modeled from a real man is why I am asking. The cool part each character was created with a personality. Some people complained because the puzzles were to easy, for me I loved the fact that the game creator put in some easy puzzles as well as medium puzzles. I hated the writing dexterity because its hard to do with a mouse. Jeckyl and Hyde signature for instance was a nightmare. I also didn't like the way we found the suspect using the machine. Finding the differences with different lens was fun, but arranging the icons in the boxes, guess I didn't understand what they wanted and always skipped it. Thank you so much Emmanuel and BFG Guy for giving us the choice of playing without a timer. This made the game so much more enjoyable and less stressful which equals more fun. I have enough stress in life without adding to it in my recreational time. Big kudos to all who follow this example. Some people want the added stress, but I am one of those that begged you to give us an optional timer. The graphics are beautiful. Another bonus the game is replayable. What more can a person ask for? Please hurry with Azada 3 and keep the stories coming. I will be one of the first to buy the new Azada 3. Sherryah EDIT......................... Went back to play Azada 1 again and remembered why I never finished the game it is because of the timer! Now if we could just get Emmanuel and BFG Guy to kill this timer also and make it an option, I and others who can't take the pressure can say we won the game.

menahune, I was lucky. I didn't use any orbs, but I did have hubby do the gear and the spin puzzles for me. I never finished Azada either, mainly because of the timer. I had a blast with Azada 2

Jenny, that is exactly why I asked the question. I was wondering if I was the only one who thought that the game was excellent, but it was not "Azada". I was ready for mindbending fun and got a walk in the park instead. Mind you, I love walking in the park but I was dressed and ready for a battle of wits. I do however think the game was outstanding and would definitely buy anything that follows, my only wish was that there was another Azada 2 coming that continues the puzzles heavy, headache inducing mind benders that filled the first one. I am working on Azada 2 right now, although I am battling the cursor not the game. I really, really love this game. I loved the pages in Azada that were like that and wished that there were more of them, so this is exactly what I wanted. So I am really enjoying Azada two because of the type of game that it is. I loved Azada puzzles too, but hated the timer, I just felt pushed all the time. If they would get rid of the timer in that one too, I would love each of them for exactly the way they are.

For those of you that are also adventure gamers and preferred a more puzzle-oriented game (Azada 1), do you prefer challenging puzzles of the logic variety rather than inventory? I know for my adventure gaming, I much prefer logic and mechanical puzzles (think Myst-type puzzles) versus inventory. For those of you that preferred the inventory puzzles in Azada 2, do you generally prefer those puzzles in adventure games? Trying to see if there's a correlation here. ---- Koalanut: You'll find that Azada 1 goes a lot faster/easier the second time around. I think I have played it through 4 times now!

I like all kinds of puzzles misa, it really depends on what I am in the mood for. I play adventures of all kinds, FPS, RPG's...love them all depending on my mood. I associate the game Azada with the puzzles, truthfully, the rest was unimportant when I played it. The game was largely associated wuth the mind bending puzzles. That is what I was expecting to find in Azada 2. I feel like a part was missing, I was psyched up to be challenged. Ana

As I stated, I truly enjoyed the game. In fact I considered it to be one of the best and most entertaining casual games I have played, I just didn't feel like it was "Azada". Ana

You know, I was just thinking that the whole storyline from Azada 1 & 2 along with the classic storybook concept would make a GREAT full adventure game if you could actually be inside the books with the characters. Hm... is Emmanuel reading this? I would love a full adventure game based on this. Wishful thinking, I know!

JK, you do know that BF made a new release and you can turn the timer off, right? Ana

When you uninstall and reinstall, you will not lose your current game, but it will still be timed. You can just start a new one that is untimed on a different profile and play under both. Ana
