Hi linda, It's already available to order at Interact: just type "Dracula" into the search bar, and all the Dracula games will appear, including the one you are looking for, "Dracula 3".

What is wrong with a Kheops Game? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". They are one of the few I'll buy sight unseen because they are consistently wonderful. Ana

Who's Joe Danter? Seriously. That name rings no bells. Combinable inventory and chemistry experiment type of puzzle? Check. Not so much in Cleopatra and Da Vinci as in Return to Mysterious Island, unfortunately. I think the disassemblable reassemblable multi-item inventory puzzles in Return to Mysterious Island must have taken them more effort to come up with than they were willing to repeat. But I agree with you about Kheops not producing particularly memorable characters in their games. You remember characters like Kate Walker and April Ryan and Tex Murphy and Gabriel Knight and Grace Nakimura. But what was the name of the main character in Cleopatra?

It is odd that none of us can remember who that mastermind in Secrets of Da Vinci is. I think the inventory system in the Kheops games is one of the most flexible and complex in the business. Making it even more complex would very likely make it confusing. The puzzles in their games, I find to be unusually creative. I agree that the games don't take you through an exploration of a vast swathe of territory, but they aren't games with a huge budget, so I don't expect to see huge environments. Benedict -- have you played Voyage (also known as Voyage to the Center of the Moon) by Kheops? It's a game where they took risks and placed the game in a very unusual environment. It's also (as far as I can tell) a game that didn't produce the sales that, for instance, Secrets of Da Vinci did. If significant innovation is "punished" by lower sales, it's hard to keep on innovating and still stay in business. Jenny -- Jo Danter is the "hero" in Belief & Betrayal.

Sorry can't agree with you Benedict.I have enjoyed all the games, particularly Da Vinci. I feel they are similar to reading a good novel but you have to participate, and don't we normally buy books by certain authors because they offer what we enjoy. Have just finished Dracula 3. I found some of the puzzles completely baffling but it looked great and for once I didn't turn the background music off. I'm with you BrownEyedTigre on this discussion.

The hero of Secrets of Da Vinci is Valdo. And I think the main Character of Cleopatra is Thomas.

Hi I am playing Dracula 3 right now and enjoying it VERY much. An interesting take on the Dracula theme with just the right touch of atmospheric eerieness And I want to say anyway that I have enjoyed practically every Kheops game that I've played. [Only Voyage was not to my personal taste.] What is good about their games, in my opinion, is that they will install and play with seldom a hitch, they will have a user friendly interface and an interesting story to follow and they won't cost the earth Absolutely no complaints from me !!!! Cheers. Mad

I don't play just adventure games alone so perhaps variety and innovation are more important to me than familiar design. To me, Kheops games are way too similar to each other, to the extent that I actually felt bored while playing Cleopatra. It just felt like that they just repeated the same formula from their earlier games and, I am sorry to say, I am tired of this formula. Regardless of this, I find that the scale and puzzles of Cleopatra do not match up to their earlier games, Da Vinci (the Chemistry puzzles here makes more sense and I can relate, not like the flowers and spices thing in Cleopatra) and Return to Mysterious Island (more inventory puzzles that actually justify the multi-page inventory bag). If Cleopatra did not satisfy me, then from an apparently declining standard I don't expect Dracula 3 will satisfy me like some other developer's adventure games.
I wish some developer would publish something in the style of Safecracker (I don't like the remake) and Shivers.
